I've just purchased a Ferplast 140 off eBay for £20 in great condition (bargain!) but just worrying now as the run OH made is a tad shorter in length but wider than the cage. Does the run need to be bigger than the cage?
Thanks :)

Id say a run does need to be larger than their cage as otherwise there isnt much point as they can "run" the same amount, obviously a new space is slightly more exciting though! I had a 140 very nice cage for 2/3 pigs IMHO.

Yes I did think that but I feel really bad as OH made it before I bought the 140. They can't go in the bigger cage just yet anyway as we need to do some rearranging to fit it in

Is the run for outside use? I don't think it necessarily needs to be bigger if it's of sufficient size for them to run about in then (once they are used to it) they will appreciate the change of scene - particularly so if they are out on grass!

The cage that they live in will probably have a house, toys & bowls so a lot of floor space taken. The run even though a similar size will have less cluuter so should have more area for them to run around.

My garden run is the same size as Pumpkin and Boo's cage, (150cm) but they appreciate the change onto the grass and as Stewybus said, room without hay trays and food bowls to run around :) I'm sure your pigs will appreciate your partner's hard work!

Phew so no need to worry too much then :)

Yes it is for outside.
