rumblestrutting!

My 4month old sow has been rumblestrutting to nothing for the last hour on and off,even making the noise while lying or just standing on her own.

If one of my other sows is near her she will do it to them but mostly to herself.

I have never had any of them do this before?

Is this normal?Is there something bothering her maybe?

It's perfectly normal - she's in season. It should last from a couple of hours to a couple of days, depending on the surge of hormones and her sensitivity to them. She may even have a go at humping the other females.

I have noticed my others sows doing this but not as much and only to one an other!

Poor thing must be very sensitive to them!

Shes quiet now because its veggie time!

How often are they in season?

A piggy comes into season every 17 days, this can fluctuate a little in each pig but generally it's 17 days. Are you having issues with your girls too?
