I understand that in boar rumble strutting can be a show of dominance or flirtyness :)) .

Can you tell the difference?

Also, when a sow rumble struts, could this be dominance or flirtyness too, and how can you tell which it is.

I have a boar and sow living in one C&C and a lone sow (after losing her very own man pig at the weekend :( ) in another C&C next door. They can see and sniff and interact through the bars.

Belle, the lone sow is rumble strutting at Lenny, the male in the other cage. Lenny is rumble strutting back.... what would you think this could be?

There is no teeth chattering

possibly... it only started today and she lives on her own now so I can't tell. She used to tease Archie like hell when he was still with us and she was in season.

my girls only seem to rumble at each other when they are in season. Are you planning on making your piggies a trio?

I'd say that Belle is in season and inviting your boy over!

Best of luck with introducing them all - Belle is going to like joining them by the sound of it!

PS: It's a good idea to introduce a sow when she is in season - no problems with acceptance!

even with the other girl? will Piglet (the sow already living with Lenny) not have a problem with Lenny devoting all his manly attention to Belle ? :))

also how long do sow seasons usually last?

Seasons last up to 48 hours. Piglet may or may not be bothered, i doubt Belle being in season would bother her at all unless Belle decided to mount her. Hopefully she won't care that Belle's joined them & will be happy to share her life & her man with her :)

so would folks say that I am better doing the introductions now (as in tomorrow = thursday) rather than waiting until the weekend? (due to Belle being in season now)?

I'd say that it is worth a try! If Belle has been close by and Piglet has not been chattering at her, you are in with a good chance that they will get on, anyway.

Most girls are quite tolerant with another one being in season and their man chasing her.

In two of my introductions this year, the newly introduced top girl was in season. It made thing easier in my opinion.
