After a couple of surprise births last November, here are my two gorgeous boys. I have had to spend a lot of money at the vets on these two, along with their mother and auntie. (both re-homed now) chase is the black one and they both actually need to go back to the vets, not only for their claws to be clipped, but because yesterday morning i noticed chase has got a white, scab looking thing on the end of his nose. They both were born to a badly treated female that not only had mites, but ringworm at the same time, but being pregnant the vet said treating her would harm her babies, and that we would have to wait for the babies to born, get to a certain weight, then they can be treated. I felt so bad that their mum couldn't have treatment while they was nursing either. We re-homed their mum and auntie once they was treated and healthy and decided to just keep the boys as I just do not have the space in my flat for that many Guinea pigs. The auntie also gave birth last Halloween, but sadly the baby only lived for 9 days. Rubble is obviously the ginger one. He was so cute as a baby. I love that he has a bit of white only on the end of his nose. I spoil these Guinea pigs as much as i possibly can. Their cage is cleaned every 4 days, and they are just starting to get really tame. We couldn't hold them much as babies because they were born to mites straight away, so they were pained from that. They would squeak really loud for each other when the were cuddled. They really didn't get a great start to life, I actually thought they wouldn't survive, but i am going to make sure they lead a very happy, healthy life.image.webp
