I got two sows from the pet shop 8 months ago and they have always quarrelled. I don't think they are from the same mother (but one is albino so hard to tell).
We have a shelter in the cage and a tunnel and they regularly argue. We debated separating them but Jesse (brown and white) pines for lily. Even though lily bullies jesse at times, Jesse seems to wind lily up I'm out of ideas, its not bad enough to separate them but I would like to know if I can do anything more to help!

Yeah I read it a while back when they were first rowing. I think maybe I'm just confused about a few things. The bully (lily) seems less dominant in general, jesse is the first to explore, the first out, the loud one and completely dominant with food. But she is forever being nipped at (sometimes even when shes going in for a cuddle)!

Do they have two of everything including shelters? This can ease tension. How big is their cage?

My boars do this constantly. No bloodshed but lots of arguing, my head is higher than yours, rumblestruts and chasing. That's just the way they are. Like two old men.
If I separate them, they look for each other and call out for their mate....either that or they are shouting "I'll get you for this".

Can you treat them like boars and make sure that they have two of everything and space to get away from each other?

My one sister pair is the one that has been arguing constantly; being related has no bearing whatsoever on whether piggies get on or not. That is simply down to the character combination! My sisters now live in different groups with friends they get on with, by the way; they are coming up to 6 years now.
