Hi there, one of piggies was diagnosed with Roundworm last Friday! He’s on critical care, lost 200 grams, syringe water too (very thirsty) and otherwise was healthy. He’s called SPG and us about 4 1/2. Can anyone share any good advice on this please as he seems disinterested in normal foods, hay, pellets and few veg, parsley. Many thanks, Kim 💜✌️🌻

In terms of his eating, you need to syringe feed as much critical care as it takes to stop him from losing weight. Where he isn’t eating any hay, then you aim for 90ml of critical care in a 24 hour period. You will need to weigh him daily so you can adjust your syringe feeds to stop the weight loss.

Worms in piggies are rare and I certainly don’t have experience of it. We don’t see it much on the forum at all. @PigglePuggle is the best health advisor to help on the specifics of such a parasite issue so may be able to help further if she sees this post

Thankyou so very much. I will update his progress too and any other useful info I get to share, Kim 💚
