So my 7 year old sister has her own guinea pig and she is a bit rough with her...for example today she dropped my guinea on the wood floor. I am not sure how to deal with this because she doesnt listen to me about being more gentle while handling them. Her pig is very sketchy because of this and wont usually let anyone pet her while in her cage...when we have lap time with Oreo she is fine but not as comfortable as Reese.(my piggie) Id really like some advice on helping her handle both pigs better. Also how make Oreo stop being so scared while being picked up out of her play pen or cage...Thanks so much!

Does she hold her as she is? It might be best if you ask your little sister to hold her in a cosy and tell her that she can only hold the guinea pig when she is sitting down so she's comfortable in her lap.

This is what we did with my 3 year old Niece at a farm we went to. (The sitting part obviously, no cosies at farms...)

She loves to stroke my boys but I'm very firm and only let her do that if I am holding them and I am sat down.

As its your sisters guinea pig she may not listen but maybe you could ask your mother or father to tell her that unless she does this she cannot hold the guinea pig?

Show her the forum and explain that if she drops them she may hurt them.My nieces and nephews used to be the same with their animals and I just kept explaining to them how much tamer they would be if they were gentler. My 16.year old niece is now very gentle with my animals but she knows she sits down with.them and doesn't heave them about.I would enlist your mum and dad's help as if she hurts them it is them that will have to pay vets bills.
