I am hoping to get a 5ft double hutch for my 3 guinea pigs. Originally I was hoping to get them a 6ft single but unfortunately a hutch this size will not fit in the space I have available. A c&c cage indoors is not an option unfortunately so I would really appreciate your opinion please on which hutch I should get? :) If you know of another hutch this size which is good then please comment and let me know which one, don't just click the option on the poll and leave me wondering. ;) Also any photos of your hutches this size would be great! :(|) Thank you!

Hey I'm new to this but I have lots of experenice with pigs. Id say they are really both the same and the cheapest one looks nicer for its price, the wood looks like a better quaility ! :)

I have seen them both in store and to be honest, there really isn't much difference between them.
The Rose cottage however has a pull out plastic tray for the top part of the hutch. I have a Dandelion Den at my parents house which has the same tray and it is difficult to pull out once it has paper and shavings in there so I don't bother with it.

If you don't want to spend a lot, I'd go for the Summer lodge as it is no different to the Rose Cottage.

i have one of each of these (managed to get them second hand!) i have 3 pigs in the rose cottage and 2 in the summer lodge, i prefer the rose cottage because i think there is more room on the top level, but the ladder is steeper so may need alterations to it. The summer lodge is equally as nice though!

Honestly, use your money and build yourself one - or find someone to do it for you. I have the Summer Lodge, also got it 2nd hand, less than 6 months old at the time, and it's a mess now. The roof is mouldy, the back is completely rotten and has green stuff growing out of it, the base had to be replaced, and the way the roof is put together the water gets inbetween it and now the roof is lifting off in places due to warping. I'm trying to save some money to replace mine.

They're not designed to last longer than a year - and do you really want to spend £100 on something you're just going to have to replace?
