I have finished the room the piggies are in! I would have them free range all the time, but I sleep in there and don't want to fall on them in my sleep so they're in their cage at night. My dad very nicely offered to find an old baby gate and put it near the outside of the door as Minja refuses to keep in even with the door fully shut :)) Does anyone thinks it looks ok?

Thank you! I have to hoover it often, and I just did it before taking pics so I'm not really the one to come to about clean rooms :)) My dad told me at least one or two hundred pounds (though starting from Ginny, I think five hundred+) have been spent on them in probably housing alone. In five years I'll be out of money for good!

Ahah thank you! Though you need to become a guinea pig to move in :D

That's wonderful! But where do you sleep?! x
On the red couch, it's a foldout. My previous bed broke and haven't been able to replace it, so I just used this. The bed I had gave me bad back pains and surprisingly the couch has me much more awake and better (my back pains are gone) so I just left it :)

Nice one! I find one of the couches in our living room very comfy to sleep on - we have a memory foam mattress with a memory topper too as J broke her back & dislocated her hips 3 years ago, and I have back and hip problems too, but this sofa is just blissful on the nights I cant sleep!

Are you at uni? You have a very neat and organised room! x

My husband also broke his back (luckily no nerve damage), we both find memory foam to be wonderful :)
I hope J's back eases up in time x

I have to admit I wondered where the bed was myself :)
@CarnivalPiggy I hope you back eases up too. I have back pains, lower back pains, and find that doing the plank and stomach exercise help, but I also know it can make things worse. Are you having treatment for it? x

Thank Critter :-) J has nerve damage as she didn't realise she had done so much damage to herself, and tried to get up and follow her horse as she had been thrown on the road. Then the hospital initially missed the fractures, so she was walking and trying to work with it displaced for a while. Not good!

Memory foam is wonderful! I would love to try Tempur too, but would have to rob a bank 1st! x

Oh dear, I hope everyone's doing ok after their injuries! I don't think it's memory foam, but I'm probably getting it replaced soon anyway with something like that :)

And nope, I'm not. The only reason my room is tidy is because of the piggies. It used to be a dump, but I need to keep it clean so hay doesn't go everywhere in the house which it used to. I also just like seeing it clean :D

I'm sorry to read that.
Hubby was in a traffic accident, a car pulled out in front of him while he was on his push-bike, and he went flying over the top of the car and onto the toad, landing on his back-pack, which broke his back. However doctors missed this fact, and sent him home. The break was such that one of the vertebrate was effectively broken in half, and one half slid off-centre and the bone set in the wrong position. He now has disc damage.
I really am sorry that doctors missed J's break too. I agree not good, not good at all.

It's the best reason I know of for having a tidy room! And a great reward in having your piggies to roam around it :)

That's brilliant! I would love a pig-safe room like yours :) Happy little cavies. And I must say it's all very neat. One day I'll have a neat house..... or maybe not! :)
Looks great. Lots of room for them, inside and outside the cage. x

Half of my basement is their room... If I only had c&c cage for Rosie

It's an awesome piggie space @CarnivalPiggy !

Thanks for your well wishes :-) J is off the crutches now, so that's good! She is now registered disabled and when walking any sort of distance - ie over 2/3 mins she does still use one crutch, but we manage :-) x

Well that is a lovely piggy room set up! Your piggies are very lucky.
@Rosehip that sounds awful. Poor girl. That's the kind of story that makes me ride in the arena most days instead of hacking out :(

It is indeed @Goth Mummy ! We have a very sweet, safe little coloured mare now that is 100% for J, and I ride her sisters scatty boy when I have the energy! x
