A few days ago I purchased a Himalayan Rock Salt lamp to help with anxiety and sleep. It sits not too far away from Finnians cage (he sits on my desk due to a draft) and I've noticed he's smelled worse lately? I rarely turn it on but it's still next to his cage. Is there any negative affects that it could have on him/is it what is making him stink more than normal? Typically he never smells awful and he didn't pripr to buying the lamp. He seems to pass gas more now... Should I keep him away from the lamp even when it's off?

I wouldn't see how the lamp could affect any odor. I was just reading a blog about if they can affect pets and it didn't say it would. This is what it said, "So while the lamp being present in the room does not cause harm to your pets, it can be dangerous if your pet decides they want to lick it."
