We are so sad our dear little Bramble did not make it through his post-op recovery from bladder stone surgery. Bramble passed away 11/9/2015. We will miss him so much - particularly his excitement and enthusiastic squeaks every time I walked into the room. We'll miss cuddles, and chats, and spoiling him with cucumber pieces which were his fave. Such a cute little fella, always so eager for attention and just too irresistible to refuse.

RIP Bramble, also RIP to all of Bramble's buddies who were not mentioned on this forum over the years, but just as sadly missed, and loved as much as Bramble was. RIP: Blackie (Aug 2009); Max (Dec 2011); Darwin (Nov 2013); and Mickey (Apr 2015). RIP little buddies, we'll love you forever and imagine you all playing together and enjoying all the cucumber and veggies you could dream of. Please welcome Bramble and care for him now we no longer can. Linda and Jessica xxxxx xxxxx

i am really sorry to hear that Bramble didn't make it. You and your vet fought really hard for him which is all you can do. Flipping stones.
Sounds as though you have some great memories of him.
Hope Bramble is popcorning in a meadow with his mates - i am sure he will be. Sleep well Bramble.

I am so sorry you did all you could for your little boy. I am really sorry for your loss. Massive hugs to you x

Sleep well Bramble, Blackie, Max, Darwin and Mickey

RIP Bramble

I am so sorry to hear this - sending you big hugs x

So sorry. We lost our beloved Pappis 4 weeks ago to bladder stones. She very quickly lost so much weight and became too poorly to survive an op. Like you we are not getting any more guinea pigs as I get too attached :( Very complicated little creatures when they get ill. RIP Bramble x

So very sorry for your loss, and @PappisnDemba too. Without meaning to be at all insensitive, would you consiider maybe fostering for a local rescue sometime in the future? That way you are helping the piggies in need, and the rescue, without the permanent commitment. It can be very hard NOT to get attached to your temporary house guests, but by maybe doing a pregnancy watch, or introducing a shy piggy to proper handling, you will get a lot of pleasure and reward. Take care and lots of hugs x
