My babies love this cage and seem to prefer it to being outside, they popcorn like crazy when they come back inside

Looks great! well done! I did similar with my old marchorio and some ferplast shelves

I do wish i still had that cage!

oh woooow! I have a rabbit 100 and I'm definately going to do this in the summer as the height is a bit of a waste of space for piggies. Thanks for the inspiration guys!

Thanks for sharing these pics!

I think I am going to try it for Shotzie's little cage, because as it was said before, the height of the cage seems like wasted space!

glad to share the photos, yes that is exactly what I thought! All that height wasted! They have the whole of the bottom area to run around in and now the top shelf and ramp. I did have the ramp on the floor initially but it was more space efficient to attach to the side of the cage.

I see you've attached the '2nd floor' with cable ties.. I could do this in mine for some much wanted extra space.... can you tell me - what is it made of? Did you make it yourself to fit or is it something you've utilised from another cage?xx>>>xx>>>

Hi there,

It is MDF and then covered in zsticky back plastic to avoid it getting spoilt with wee! the ramp is also MDF and covered in sticky back plastic also. Good luck with the renovation

Wow, that looks fab. I did similar to my girls hutch although only Eliza has figured it out. Eleanor will look up at her as if to say "how did you get up there?" Excuse the pee stain, one of them decided to go to the toilet just as I took the photo!

Thats great Claire.....Arnt our guineas lucky that we slaves are so inventive!

Yes, my husband drilled holes all around the sides of the shelf and then we passed cable ties through the holes and fastened them to the side of the cage! I may still have to get them a nero 4 when they are fully grown but at least it has bought me some time!
