Resting head upon another

Hey
My old girl Doris has been resting her head on Tilly while she's sleeping lately:

This isn't the first time she's done it though. When I first got her (many years ago- when I didn't know half I do now!) she lived with a rabbit. Even then she chose to rest her head on the bunny...

I was just wondering if anybody knew why she did this? And does anyone else's guinea pigs do this?

It looks like she is just very comfy with her friend. Maybe affection?

I hope so. They seem to have grown very close lately.

Maybe because she is abit older she uses the closeness of another furry creature as like a comfort?

Whatever the reason She looks peaceful and comfy!
