BIG HUGS
I am very sorry that gorgeous Theo has got the call to the Bridge.
You have given him a very good life and life span filled with everything a piggy could want: lots and lots of happy todays in good care and - seeing your treat dispensing slave training - with some very well trained cavy staff!
Be sad and give yourself time grieve and digest the shock, but please don't feel bad. It is always hard when their much faster metabolism turns against one of your piggies and something in their body gives way - including the immune system. There is nothing you or your vet can do. Sadly, the pain of your loss will never be any less because each bond is unique.
But Theo will always keep his very own special nest in your heart and - whenever you are ready to look - is leaving it filled with lots of precious memories to warm the cold hands of your soul on in dark times.
