I was planning on reintroducing my peruvian to my other two girls this weekend after she was split up from them around 3 weeks ago due to illness.

My normal cage cleaning routine is to empty the cage, wash it down with some warm water and mild dish soap, and then steam it with my steam cleaner. But I'm worried this won't be enough to remove my two girls smell from the cage and therefore cause problems when I put them all back in together.

What do you use to remove scents from the cage?

Using a scrubbing brush and hot soapy water should do it, I don't suppose you have any F10 disinfectant? If not, it's worth keeping some in stock, really comes in usual. If I get caught short, I have the hand gel F10 and I can mix it with a small amount of water and use as a spray - work well too.

Thanks. I don't have any F10 disinfectant but I'll certainly go and have a look for some. Thank you :)
