I have my 2 girls in a 4x2 c&c cage with a 1 and a 1/2 by 2 loft. I’ve been thinking today that the ramp could be taking up a bit of there zombie space and wondering wether to remove it.
Has anyone had a loft and removed it? Happier piggies? Does it make a difference?

We bought a 5x2 C&C with a loft but the girls didnt use it so I added it on the side as a walk-in hay tray. But then we added a little husboar who likes climbing so I bought a 3x2 cage extension then put the loft back up as a man-loft for him. Now his 2 favourite little wives go up there too. But we have 2 ladies who have no interest in the loft at all so I guess it depends what your piggies like. If you only have 2 and neither feels the urge to scramble up a ramp to avoid their cage mate, add it in the side to increase the floor space and fill it with hay! I'm thinking of getting another 2x2 loft to use as an extra room off the main floor level now we have an extra piggy...

I just removed my lofts, the piggies used them occasionally but mostly just liked to hang out underneath the second floor. The cages are so much easier to clean now and they they have more space to run.

I just removed mine for my boys this week. They didn't use it very much. They are so much happier now with the extra space. They now have a 3 by 8 c and c cage.

I’m dying to give them more room I am just out of space 😔 I am going to remove the loft see what they do
