So today. I completely cleaned out their cage and I rearranged the placement of things. When I put my piggy boys back into the newly arranged cage I am now hearing lots of growling. It is also pretty loud. But no teeth chattering or anything. Is that normal. I think there is butt shaking and sniffing maybe. Is it normal between boars to reevaluate whose boss. My piggies are also pretty young .They have been together for months with no problems. Is this situation normal.

Thankyou :)

Should I change the cage to how it was before?

Stick with it. Changing a cage around can set off dominance issues again. Rumblestrutting and the rrrrr noise they make along with butt sniffing it is perfectly normal behaviour, most boys do it - some more than others.

Any new territory or changes to the territory require a new hierarchy sort-out. With teenage boys, this can at the most extreme include a cage clean.

Please just leave them be and let them settle down. It doesn't sound serious. Don't change them around yet again.
