Red Scabs

Hiya,

I’ve noticed these little scabs on my pig and he’s becoming a bit more distant/uncomfortable.

He still eating and drinking - just think he is uncomfortable.

Can anyone recommend what i should do? should i take him to the vet?

Poor boy, those look painful.

Definitely get him to the vets, they will then be able to identify the issue and prescribe an appropriate treatment.

My piggy had something similar a while ago.

Pepper has a sore patch again

I’m sure it’s something easily treatable.

My late Ena had something similar when she was a baby. It turned out to be a fungal infection.

Definitely take him to the vets who will be able to identify the problem and prescribe the correct treatment. Please don’t be tempted to home treat x

Hiya,

We took him to the vets yesterday and they’re treating him for mites. It’s cleared up a little bit and becoming more comfortable to be held again!
