We would need to see a photo to be able to advise you.

Welcome to the forum.

Well, it could be redness from the colour of their skin but some redness could be an infection such as bumble foot - are you able to post a picture?

That looks ok to me apart from having a pink tinge. What are they bedded on?

Yes, wood shavings is not good, your piggy will be walking on wet bedding of urine. This can cause redness.

Lily had red legs, and we took her to the vet and she said it wasn't bumble foot, and that she suggested rubbing a bit of sudocrem on the legs to soften the redness. If you let the legs get bad, the skin can crack and is near impossible to heal again. I'd keep an eye on it, to check it doesn't progress to bumble foot, but I'd rub some sudocrem on it.

there is a thread reviewing bedding. Some piggies are allergic to shavings and even dust extracted make my nose itch.I use fleece over puppy pads and then litter trays containing newspaper, finacard and hay.
