Hi again! Simba had crusty (back of ) ears so I took him t to the vet last Friday. The vet had a look at his fur and couldn’t see under the light any evidence of mites. He was treated with Zeno ( one pipette) just in case and also given Surolan so that I could run it not inside his ears, but onto his irritated outer ear. They have got progressively worse, he is red raw behind his ears and the area seems to be spreading onto the bald patch behind. I have attached photos. I am unable to get to the exotic vet this week as it’s an hour and a half away, but I have made another appointment tomorrow for him at my local vet. Does anybody have any ideas about what this could be as I am very worried about him. He is eating normally, but I can see that he is scratching at his ears. I would just like someone to say they’ve seen similar! I get so anxious about my boys! Thanks in advance.

Ouch! That does look sore, poor boy 😞 Other than taking him back to the vets, I don’t know what else you could do. Did the vet check inside his ears? I wondering if he could have ear mites perhaps causing him to scratch or a fungal infection?
