red eye in 5 month guinea pig

hi everyone
my guinea pig has a sore eye and it looks cloudy . i live in a place where there are no vets that can treat gps.
also i live with my mum and dad and they both said it will get better but its not getting better.
she seems happy shes eating and drinking.
what should i do?

Hi

Please try to get some antibiotic eye drops from a pharmacy in the total absence of vet access and as the only way of getting something closer to what you need (normally not recommended for use on spec).

Your piggy has most likely got an eye infection from a potential hay poke. If left untreated, the infection can quickly track deeper into the eye and could cause loss of the eye.
