Hi,

I'd like to buy another indoor cage for my 2 guinea pigs. Are there any cages you would recommend?

Many thanks :)

What cage do you have for them now?

You have many options and if you have room you could look into a C&C cage or if you prefer the standard bought cage, you could get one of these from zooplus, its like a nero 4 and is nearly 4ft long. Its plenty big enough for two piggys.

They are on offer now and are only £39.99.

Or you want something with a stand and some ramps they also have this cage for £59.90

They also have the feraplast rabbit 120 for £49.99

They also have this cage that is 140cm long so 20cm bigger than the above, so you may prefer it and it has a stand. It also come with a upstairs area, but its wire flooring, so i would get some correx and make a base and slot it in, so you pigs dont catch there nails/feet in the wire bits. You can easily cover the ramp with carpet.

Hope that helps.

I have 3 of the above cages and they actually measure 152cm - which is bigger than the ever popular Trixie 150 cages!

Unlike any of the Ferplast cages the stand is actually part of the frame and so to clean you simply slide the massive tray out. It also features a massive top and front opening for when you want to spot clean or catch piggies for cuddles.

I actually covered my second level with some vinyl flooring i had left over from doing my hallway (but you could also use correx or similar). All their food/hay is kept up top and so is easily wiped clean. The ramp (although looks steep) is only very small (it measures around 13 inches from tray to second level) and i have covered it with a cheap off-cut of carpet (for grip)

Can you tell how much i love my cages?

It's actually one of the biggest indoor cages ive come across so far (apart from a C&C of course) - then again it is one of the most expensive on the list Joey&Gizmo provided.

I bought mine from here (but they are now £157.99) so Zooplus is offering a great deal on them now:
