I'm picking up a new, larger cage tomorrow and I am still unsure which bedding I want to use for it. I am currently using fleece bedding and love it but I don't think I want to use fleece bedding for the new cage because of its size. The cage will be housing two guineas if that makes any difference. Any recommendations would be helpful, thank you. :)

You can get cage liners or vetbed.
I use aubiose which soaks wee with hay ontop. I also recommend tumblefresh.,

Fleece liners could still work :) You'll probably find in a bigger cage the fleece stays fresher because there is more room for the pigs to move around. I'd give it a trial with the fleece and see what you think. If not then you could change over to disposable. :)

We love our fleece..

Beautiful piggy! As he/she is a skinny pig, I would recommend fleece or vetbed. Skinnies don't have much fur so their skin is more prone to being scratched etc., which means you'll want to use the softest bedding as is possible. I believe fleece is fine in pretty much any size cage, and if you don't want to do any sewing and your piggies are fleece burrowers that's fine. What you can do, is make sure you use a sheet of fleece that's big enough to overhang the sides of the cage (not the grids, I mean the corrugated plastic) so the sides can go under the grids. The grids would hold the fleece down to make it burrow-proof. Or you could tuck the sides underneath the cage.

In this video, a similar technique is used but for a commercial cage. The same sort of concept still applies to C&C, except instead of the bars holding the fleece down it would be the grids:

No problem! :)

I should be switching to fleece fairly soon, but I haven't got round to washing the fleece enough times yet. :))

I currently use Fitch, which is a lot like Carefresh but it's cheaper and I think you can only easily get it in the UK.
