Junior Guinea Pig
Hello We had two lovely baby guinea pigs come live with us on the weekend and they're settling in well. I'm finding it extremely difficult to take them out of the cage though. They have a furplast cage, and run straight underneath the raised bit, and so you have to take the whole thing apart to get them out, which isn't very practical when I'm home alone with two little kids. So I was thinking it would be much more practical (not to mention gentler on pigs who obviously don't like getting chased about) to replace the raised bit and get them two separate hideaways instead, so that I am able to take them out and handle them more.
They do have a tunnel, but I'm going to replace it as it came from my sister in law with them, as it's half chewed away! I was thinking of getting some little plastic huts, but I read that it's best if they have hideaways that have two ways in so that one pig can't block in another. Where can I find some like that?
Thanks!
