Reccomended Space

So, come winter Mario will be husboar to 4 girlies (fingers crossed) and I am going to build a C&C cage to bring them for winter. What is the recommended floor space for a group of 4 sows and a husboar? I wan't to make sure I build the right size Any info greatly appreciated. Their currently floor space for the girls in their hutch works out at 16ft squared in area. Plus a 6ftx3ft run which they get 3-4 hours in an eve plus a lot more at the weekends.

The size you have now would be sufficient for 5. Do you have any restrictions on the room available to you?

No, no restrictions, they have a whole box room to themselves, with a few things in there as storage so I can build as big as they need comfortably, without going daft and just putting a grill on the door and giving them the whole room lol.

A dream of mine is to have a major declutter and do just that, haha! My husband and I live in a three-bed that is just full of STUFF - wouldn't it be so much better to just throw everything away and have an entire room's worth of floor space for the herd?!

Yeah it's just me and my husband in a 3 bedroom too. I wouldn't get away with changing the whole room into one huge cage, but I would get away with making a huge cage that takes up most of the room lol
