IMAG3432.webp Hi everyone,
Seems none of my friends or family are interested in anything piggy - over the age of 11 anyway...so I thought I would share my new piggy ramp....with hay loft ...
I've spent most of the afternoon
( when I had iron mountain to tackle) creating a guinea pig masterpiece - well in my opinion.
Piggs went in it and popcorning and rushing around all over, Elsa in particular loves whizzing down the ramp. Chewy a bit more reserved.

Ramp - Ikea thingy...with carpet, tied with a tie wrap through the carpet and then through the cage.

Barrier wedged between the ramp using the kids blocks....it's ok it's quite safe, I've tugged well on it !

Piggy rooms, underneath is supported by more blocks and separate the new bedrooms.

Piggies are lounging around flat out on the scrunched up fleece - hiding in their old pigloos, we never got to see them do that !

Last of all a piece of carpet covering the hay loft ( which I will replace with lino next week ( as I think they may chew it ).

I love it, you are clever. Funny I always get really busy with other stuff when I've got a pile of ironing to do, the more important jobs just seem to pile up

Thanks everyone.....so sorry for uploading billions of piccies...totally accidental !
I've become not just a crazy guinea pig lady, but totally obsessed with anything piggy hahaha...I've researched for ages on ramps.....really surprised how quick they both zoomed up ! Within minutes hahaha :bronco:

Yes it's an Ikea carrier bag thingy hahaha.....
I definitely can not take the credit for the idea as I found it googleing :lol!:

Also in pink for girlie pigs! :tu:

I love your clever use of randomish "non-piggy" things! (to be honest almost anything safe is piggie enough for us!) Brilliant outcome too!

Well first night went well haha....
But what a pain to clean before the school run this morning.....our basic cage with no levels was really easy for our son to clean, as it was his job twice daily to spot clran....but it was a bit of a team effort this morning, which I suppose is never a bad thing !.....
But we may have to change our routine a little

Looks fantastic! Since your family/friends aren't interested, whenever you need to share anything piggy, definitely come here ;):tu: We love to see anything unique and guinea pig! :woot:

Oh wow that looks fab. Will they not wee all over the carpet in the ramp? ( thinking of copying but I know mine will! )
Ps your avatar pic piggie looks a bit like my beautiful boy ❤

Nic Bee...
I have a few bits of carpet that I can use to replace, which would only take a few minutes.
My boys don't tend to pee on anything but the hay trays and in their beds.
My worry is them chewing it ! So I've got my beady eyes on them haha.

Well the ramp and loft didn't last long !
We were finding it extremely hard to clean out. My son isn't very tall and he couldn't reach the bench.
So we used a step but he hasn't been able to clean out and help me. The piggies are for all of the family but I've found over the last week, we've spent less time with them as it was taking so long to clean out.
plus more difficult to catch them and they seemed to be getting distressed..
Ramps and accessories must be ok for floor cages but not raised off the ground. So our piggies had fun whilst it lasted and I've taken down my marvellous creation and popped it all back the way it was....much to the piggies disgust hahaha...
It's a team effort in our house with the pets, so we all needed to be able to feed, clean & catch them.
Maybe I will create another piggy palace when my son sprouts a bit hahaha ..
