Hello Everyone!

I’ve found online a C&c cage set up with lots of extras. It looks a really nice set neat set up. But I have a few questions,
1. Could I make the cage bigger instead of using the grids underneath and the play pen and add them to the cage? Enough for 4 piggums?
2. Is it expensive do you think? It come with food, carry case etc. Which are things I don’t need but I’m sure I could find a use for. So it’s $450 Australia. Which is probably about £230

What do you guys think?

Should I persuade and beg my boyfriend or stick to the plan ( which never seems to happen) of making my own cage out of wood?

What size do you want to make it? And can you get correx over there?

If you can easily get c&c grids you could probably make a cage cheaper. But if you can't get them easily it's a good buy as if you're sitting them on the floor you could make a massive cage.

You could use a large sheet of plastic to stand the grids on to protect the floor if you can't get corex. Buying the grids seperately would probably work out cheaper. I get my grids from ebay. Depends really if you feel you need corex to bend up to make sides. There are some good how to tutorials on utube for C&C cages which would give you some ideas. Also have a look here

Thats grids with 8 holes. I think 9 is preferable but I think 8s OK as long as no youngsters

I'm the c&c grid police. Lol 😂 I got chucked out a Facebook page for saying someone's c&c was unsafe. 🙄 It was 7! Squares.

I've seen people on another forum using "closet shelving" to make a cage. They said they purchased it from the place you mentioned previously

I just read it on a forum. I'm guessing it's like wire shelves as they mentioned getting the store to trim them to size for the ends of the cage.
