As mine are out in their hutch now I do sometimes get worried that we can still have chilly nights. They have a seperate bedroom in their hutch with a bottom layer of wooden floor underlay then puppy pad, then newspaper, shredded cardboard, and then a good layer of hay pushed inside a wooden stick arch. To ensure they are nice and snug I then have a fleece blanket that I place over the arch to keep the cold out. When I go and open up the bedroom in the morning, they have managed to pull the fleece blanket down from the arch and they are both completely wrapped up inside it! I feel they are nice and warm with the fleece and it does work really well. What other ideas do you guys have to keep them warm.

I think sounds like they are warm enough as plenty in there to keep them warm. Only thing I can think of is what about a fleece bed at the bottom keep the warmth in between them?

Just goes to show how much piggies love fleece! My boys live indoors year round and are on vetbed, but I always find them in the morning sleeping in their little fleece cuddle cups. There is no way they do it because they are cold - they do it because they love the feel of fleece.

I think your piggies are warm enough. I suspect they just like the feel of fleece! As degu_rock has said, how about fleece beds?

Yes I will consider that as they do love fleece x

have a look at the rodent hives on little pet warehouse they are excellent value for money all mine have them and big enough for two piggies even three :))

Oh yes I've seen them, I think I'll get one of those
