There is a rat in my house, we've been on its case for a month but to no avail. It's started to come out more recently and I'm worried about the pigs as I heard it in their throughout the night.

I've got a safer room to move them to but their current cage won't fit.

What's the minimum cage size I can keep them in, it's 3 sows and a neutered boar. Just until it's safe for them to go to their normal room.

Thanks for any advice :)

Oh no.
Well the minimum for two is 120cm plus 30cm per extra piggy so for four piggies you’d be looking at a 180cm x 60cm or cage with equivalent amount of floor space. I know it’ll only be temporary, but you don’t know how temporary so the last thing you want is for the piggies to have space related relationship issues.
I hope you catch the rat soon

Is that 6×2 grids?

I hope so too

You have my huge sympathy. Re rats, we stuffed close-mesh wire in and over every single gap in the house I could squeeze my thumb through (juveniles can get through that small a space). With one door, more raised from the floor than the others, we put a strut of wood across its base to stop them from getting beneath. It nevertheless took us a long time to find their entry point into the house (floorboards had to come up).

Ours is stuck in the house but it's not caring for traps. It's too irregular :/

Pigs aren't loving the temporary accommodation..

That's really grim to have it stuck in your house. Good luck.
