Evening all, I recently got my girls an outdoor hutch (although will be coming back in soon now it’s colder). The thing is the hutch is on 2 floors but they won’t use the ramp? Has anyone else had this issue? I want to bring the whole set up indoors into our conservatory, which doesn’t get hot in winter and is off our kitchen so always have company and then have one of the bottom doors open so they can go out in to the c&c run that I will attach. Any ideas how I can get them using the ramp so they have lots of space all the time?

Piggies don’t like ramps which don’t have any sides and ramps which are too steep. You can pop a brick or similar under the ramp to reduce the gradient. Regarding sides, either putting a piece of wood on the side like a bannister, or placing a tunnel on the ramp - just something to make them not feel scared of falling off.
Food on the ramp and upstairs can encourage them. Often though, it only takes one piggy to get brave enough and the other will follow!

Everything that Piggies&buns said i too believe to be good advice.

Worth having some carpet on the ramp too or something similar so they can get a grip into it, then put something of theirs with their scent on it and rub it along the ramp.

Def a tunnel up the ramp. Worked for our girls.
I got an extra long fleece from Ziggys piggy’s, well two actually so I can change.
Ups& down no problem now

Ahh thankyou I will try those ideas, all Cosy indoors now, is freezing outside now! I have a tunnel that I can try so will pop that in and see how they go and put a brick under so it’s less steep
