Teenage Guinea Pig
Hiya I have noticed that everyone has a level and ramp in their cages, where do buy these/make them? Xxxxxxxxx
I am not an expert, but if you have a C and C cage, they are easy build. If you have extra cubes, just build another level on tothe cage with those. For a ramp, get some correx and bend it in to the shape of the ramp you want. Get some old carpet and attach it on the the ramp for grip.
Hope this helped

More options I did find wire/grid ones as well, but you pay about 45 pounds for them. I'm actually not a fan of the wire ones as my pigs got their nails stuck in them twice.
Thats a good idea, but you still have more options to change you cage model with a c&c. It is actually possible to have a closed c&c, if you have dogs. But I understand different things suit different peopleIve got the 120 indoor cage and i made an upstairs.
I put 2 thin pieces of wood through the wire part from one side to the other, then put a cardboard box on top of them, (cut so its about 6inches high, with a gap for the ramp.) Its the full width of the cage and about 14 inches deep.
Made a ramp from some guttering, with a strip of carpet attached.
I put the pigloos underneath for extra hidey holes.
My 5 year olds guineas love it and i can't have C&C because i have 2 dogs.
I can't work out how to post pictures on here, but if i can i will! inbreeding
2 by 4 would be 1.40m by 0.7m. Thats a big cage! 20cm bigger than the 120 cage youre looking for, and probably a bit wider than most shop bought cages too. The grids are obviously very easy to break up and transport. Ive never transported my correx, but its quite flexible and could go in the back of a car. You can even score it and fold it if really needed, or just buy a new correx if you ever have to move house with it and find it difficult to move. From the website I gave you one sheet of correx (or proplex as they call it) would be enough for a 2x4. You would have enough left on the sides to make the sides 25cm high (just under 10 inches) which should keep your pigs and bedding in the cage It honestly is very simple. Just put the grids together with the connectors and make a "box" out of correx. If you can do it with cardboard, you can do it with correx. There are good guides on the internet, and people on here could always help you out Get your boyfriend to help if hes handy You can always pm me if youve got any more questions. x
I recently took out our 2nd level. Yes I know its horrible because the extra level gave them an extra 3 1/2 feet of space (IDK how to convert that) so right now I have 3 girls milling around in a 7 ft cage. But I took out the top level because only one of my girls would use it. The other 2 were terrified of the ramp.
According to this site http://www.guineapigcages.com/ a 2x4 is the minimum for 3 pigs, although 2x5 is preferred. Especially with boars. Most packs will have enough cubes to make a 2x5 anyway, or a 2x4 with upstairs...
