How steep is too steep? The reason I ask is I was going to make my own ramp going from the ground floor to the hayloft but I saw a ramp/bridge wooden thing from PaH make from sticks attached together. I thought that would provide good grip. I've attached it to to the hayloft but I can't tell whether its too steep and if I'd need to add a platform with another ramp or whether its fine as it is. I have no idea on angles so could someone help. Please. I'm at work at the mo so can't post pics but I'll post when I get home. X

Well the way we have ours is a bit of the caging bent to make a tunnel which is on the bottom so they jump onto that then run up the ramp which is made from another bit of caging that was bent at one side to provide a side to the ramp. We did this so the ramp wasn't too steep and they use the tunnel bit as a hidey hole. We have used velcro on the ramp/tunnel so we could stick some vetbed on for grip and they use it absolutely fine. I think ours resembles a "triangle" shape so I'm guessing the angle must be about 90 degrees?

Not sure how much sense that makes?!

If you do use logs you'll have to put something on the side of it so they can't fall off the ramp when they're using it.
