My 4 piggies are housed outside and have now moved into their new home which is a 2 storey hutch form p@h 5ft x2ft each floor, they only moved in yesterday but they dont seem to want to use the ramp i feel it may be a little steep and also the grip bits seem very far apart. Could someone please help as i want them to be able to get full use of their new home. I built a wall around the hole so they cant fall down.

Maybe you could add some sides to the ramp so they cannot fall off and they will feel more secure. Also add some carpet for grip, my 2 boys have a ramp in their new c&c cage and they refused to use the first one so i made it less steep and added carpet to it now they zoom up and down it with no problems. :)

I read a post recently in which someone (threelittlepigs i think) had made a tunnel for someone which was velcroed onto the ramp. Really good idea, just wish I could find the thread for you. It worked for those piggies.

i think it may be too steep and the ramp already has sides so they cant fall off, will try some carpet or maybe a tunnel thanks :)

Are you able to make it less steep?

I'm not sure how to do it in a hutch so cannot offer any advice. But I'm sure someone will be able to tell you how! :))

Maybe they will feel more secure with the carpet attached as they have some grip under their feet. :)

I'm thinking of propping the ramp up ontop of a wooden hut and then it will be less steep and then make another ramp to get up there?
