i need some advice on how to make a ramp for the hutch i'm building. I want to build the ramp from safe, inexpensive materials i can find around my house. Any ideas?
Hey! My wonderfull little brother helped me make my ramp.
It is made of a shelf from a modern wardrobe... he cut one piece 62cm by 15cm for the main part of the ramp, then another thats 62cm by 5cms which, attached by dowels, forms the side rail so they cant fall off. Like this...
there are then 2 screwhook, like you may use to hang net curtains, at the top, and one on the side to hold the ramp in place. there was no expensive glue or anything used, just a saw and a drill then it slots together. it took less than one hour. As I'm not sure what you have around the house i thought id tell you how we did it... we have a garage full off stuff but i dont imagine any of it would be expensive to buy if you have the tools. The only problem you may find is that the surface is slippery, i have got around that by hooking towel over the top two hooks. This gets washed with all my other bedding.
