Ramp Cover

Hi there,

My girls seem very reluctant to go up the ramp to the loft in their C&C cage, I've velcroed on some carpet cos I thought it was hurting their feet but they still didn't want to go up. This afternoon I was on poop patrol and moved their fleece tunnel onto the ramp so I could get all the poop and both girls had a wonder through the tunnel up the ramp.

I was thinking that maybe they feel a bit 'exposed' walking up the ramp and if I could some how cover it over it would encourage the girls to use it a bit more.

Has anyone ever done this? I'm really not sure where to start with making the ramp into a tunnel.

you can buy tunnel ramps. Someone will come along with a link. Mine are on one level so never used them. You could attach Velcro to the bottom of the tunnel then the other bit it hooks on to on the ramp so it would stay on and be removable for washing. Hope this helps

mine very rarely use their loft ! I started to put their veggies up there just so they would go up for a bit... they do just go up and down tho for no reason !

Ah so not just my piggies then. I did put their veggies up there in the beginning but they still wouldn't go up

Flexabal plastic trelis, you get it at gardon stors!
I uesd this on a ramp !
You can easily fix it to the ramp with staples underneath !

There are 2 types 1 with 1inch gaps, and one with 1/4in gaps ( like in chicen wire )

One of mine is a jumper and taught the other how to use the ramps and platforms. As soon as we installed a new ramp and 2nd floor in their C&C cage, they were up and down it like lunatics.

You could get a fleece tunnel made with reinforced ends to keep it open and use large foldback clips to attach the ends to the ramps. Plenty of snuggle sack makers do custom orders.

Another idea is 2mm correx folded into an arch over the length of the ramp with tabs fixing it into the underside with duct tape or Velcro.

Great ideas, thanks. I bet they'd love a long fleece tunnel to run up and down, defo something to look into.
