Hello everyone,

I have quite a long C&C cage that is currently laying on my floor and I've been thinking about raising it for a long time. I know that typically you can just elevate a C&C cage with more grids but I find the process of connecting grids very annoying and in general they seem kind of flimsy and fall apart very easily.

I was wondering if you other owners had any ideas on how to raise cages, and what you guys are using to do this? Maybe you could even link me to some creative stands/tables/ shelves and such? Ideally, I'd be able to attach a ramp or something to the cage to allow the guinea pigs floor time on their own initiative without having to pick them up and take them out.

I appreciate some tips
Thanks!

There is an Ikea table top called limmon that comes in a variety of sizes I looked into this with some shorter legs from amazon, In the end I used c&c grids but I get that they are a faff!

our 7 x 2 C&C cage is on our old dining room table.. we chopped the legs off then put them back on again when it was extended this year - it defo helps my poor back at cleaning out time! and all their stuff is stored underneath in nice boxes..

That sounds cool!

I have my c&c's on a "folding craft table" i love it. Means i have storage underneath them too. And ive got little panels of fabric hooked on with curtain wire so it hides all the supplies underneath. I had to put a base of grids on my c&c so it sat on the table better. You can fit a 6x2 on a 6ft table with half a grid overhang at each end. (I've never had any issues with this for about 6 years.)
As my cage is 7x2 i purchased cheap plastic grids and built a stack of cubes 2 high to support the other end of the cage. IMG_20200517_095931.webp

That looks cute!

I have my C&C's on an Ikea table top (Vangsta - fully extended takes a 5x2) with legs chosen to work for me and the kids.
