My mum's friends daughter is doing the Race for Life in Nottingham on the 3rd June 2007. She is running for her Grandad who she sadly lost to a brain tumour in December 2003.

If you would like to make a donation towards her run, you can donate via her Race For Life sponsor page - http://www.raceforlifesponsorme.org/princessrach

Events like Race for Life are an important way in which Cancer Research UK is able to fund its life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring you could help more people survive cancer.

So even if you have a pound or less to donate, it all makes a difference to the total amound raised.

hopefully i will be able to later, I'm eating now :)

Thats fine :)

You don't need paypal or anything to pay via the site. You just need a debit/credit card!

Thats not cheap at all. I am skint so I didn't donate much. Like Tesco's saying... "Every little helps!" :)

Good luck to her! I am doing the race for life too! I lost my grandad to cancer in december and my dad has just finished his 3rd lot of treatment for Non hodgkins lymphoma (type of cancer) and my mum still has the all clear after developing breast cancer 3 years ago.
Any money you guys donate helps in such a BIG WAY for now and future sufferers! ;) ;) ;)

Congratulations on her, what a great way to help and a fabulous Charity O0 O0 O0

I'm doing the annual Mother's Day Classic walk/run on the 13th May for Cancer sufferers :'( Our entry fee and any moneys we collect go straight to the Cancer Foundation.

A big HIP HIP HOORAH for all Charities who care for people O0 O0

I was thinking about doing the race for life this year. Was meant to do it last year but didn't. The cancer care in this country is great preventative and actual treatment.
It was only yesterday that I went in for my 6 month check up after having had some cells removed last year. Unfortunately there is an area that doesn't look 'normal' but could be the scar tissue settling down. Anyway will find out in a couple of weeks what it is. If it is something that has come back then I'll just get it removed again.

This is one of the big charitys I support now. Its worth every penny. Cancer is one of those things that you think 'it'll never be me'. Boy its a shock when it jumps up and bites you on the bum.............or should I say cervix :D ::)

I agree - you find that cancer effects a lot of familes, be it having it yourself, or someone in your family these days.... :'(

I always give to cancer charities so as soon as I get back from town and have done my tasks I'll sponsor your friend Ellie :) Its worth every penny if it can one day cure it...... I really hope I see that day in my lifetime...

Thank you very much SweetEdge for sponsoring Rachel for the Race For Life! :) Yesterday morning she had no money on her page and now she has £50 :) She needs to raise £100 I think.
