I have to Guinea pigs and am rabbit sitting for someone for about a week. I know rabbits can get guineas sick. Can I keep the rabbit in the basement with my pigs, but in separate cages of course and on opposite sides of the room? Right now I have the rabbit in my room but I am not able to keep him in there. Any advice ?

Ideally rabbits and piggies don’t share air space (ie ideally they are kept in separate rooms) but if you have no choice but for them to be in the same room then keep them as far apart from each other as possible, ventilate the room and ensure you always deal with the piggies first.
The other thing is that rabbits should not be caged but as it’s not your rabbit there is not much you can do about that!

I do have an air purifier and fan down here ! Idk if that makes a difference. I’m also going to keep the rabbit inside a playpen so he can hop around but not get to the piggies.

Yep, that’s all you can do.
As long as he has as much space as possible for his welfare (3 metres by 2 metres is actually the minimum enclosure size for rabbits, but that of course may not be feasible for a rabbit which isn’t yours!), but is as far away from the piggies as possible. Also ensure you use separate equipment to clean the rabbit enclosure so you don’t risk transferring rabbit urine and faeces near the piggies.
Enjoy your week looking after him!

Thank you so much for the advice!
