Rabbit shedding

Hello all,
My rabbit (5yo spayed female) is currently shedding fur like nobody’s business! It’s November which means winter is coming soon, so I have no idea why.
My theory is that my dad keeps the thermostat higher than it should be, because every time I come home from college I’m sweating. I’m a generally hot person so idk.
Any thoughts as to why this is happening?

Your theory is likely correct - she is feeling too warm now - rabbits don’t like to be overly warm. Indoor rabbits obviously don’t need the thicker coat of winter.
(Mine are outdoor rabbits so I see a lot of seasonal shedding in them!)

If you suspect there may be a parasite issue then please do see a vet.
