Does anyone know if cat shampoo is safe for piggies? My sister got a really good quality one with conditioner which was reduced, but I don't know if it's safe.

Personally I just use Gorgeous Guineas shampoo. Cat shampoo maybe a bit harsh. Some people use baby shampoo.

It would probably depend on the specific shampoo and the ingredients.
Personally I would avoid anything that wasn't specifically labelled for guinea pigs or small pets.

Thanks @Jaycey . I was going to buy the Gorgeous guineas shampoo, but because my sister has this (she just got two adorable kittens from a farmer, and they are rather mucky, so she had bought the shampoo for them). I have ordinary guinea pig shampoo, which is fine for the short haired chaps, but I want a conditioning shampoo for my long haired guys, as they already get matted really quickly, and I don't want to make it worse. I was just hoping the cat one would do. I would never use it without checking first.

Gorgeous guineas do a conditioning shampoo. I use it on Betsy and it is lovely.
