So its 9 days until i get my boys! And i know you need to wash new fleece a couple times so that it wicks properly. But does that mean wash, dry, wash, dry, wash. Or, put it on for a wash, then just make the washing machine go again, and then a third time?

Hi bubblegum, I washed my fleece three times without fabric conditioner but I didn't dry it inbetween, and it did the trick.
You must be so excited about your new arrivals, my boys were adults when I got them, so I've never had baby GP's. Post lots of pics please!

I did the same as well, just washed it repeatedly 3 times without drying in between :)

No :o how do i check?
Put it under the tap briefly (or drop a splodge) and if the water sinks straight through, then it's ready. If it stays on the surface like this, it needs a another wash!
Remember to never add a softener in your cycle, as it builds back the water barrier. ;)

Thanks! Hopefully they will be dry by this afternoin so I can test. Just trying to figure out if I have anything left to buy

I cant wait to have a cupboard full of fleecy items lol. I want to have a set for every season and big holiday xD
I don't have a cupboard. My fleece hiding places are:
The draw next to the bed
In the garage storage box
Next to the built in Wardrobe
Under the bed storage

One day I'll loose track of it all!

It's very important to get the fleece wicking or it will just smell. Once correct fleece is amazing :)

Hi! So glad you asked this question as I was wondering about fleece too. This has been really helpful. Is there a particular washing powder to use (ie Fairy) or doesn't it matter?

LOL. This is normal, isnt it ? :)
Find a place and fill it. Just like me. I took the dvd's out of a drawer so I could put pet stuff in it. lol. Now the drawer gets opened more often and a better use for it. lol

I have so much, I can't fit it in one place, so i have to scatter it where ever it can fit!
My mum usually finds pig towels in strange places. Lol.

I have 3 places for pet stuff. Anywhere, everywhere and where there is a space. lol. i have wild bird feeds in the pantry, hamster stuff in the drawer and on / under a computer desk, rabbit stuff in a box (to keep it tidy) piggy stuff on a computer desk and under it. Oh, and at the side of the tv unit (I need to find a space for it, most probably in the shed with the other hamster stuff. lol). I have not started to store upstairs yet, That might come one day. lol
