So moving out soon into something bigger and depending on the amount of room we will have I am considering giving the girls some extra room and getting a c&c cage online but I have read a couple of threads about piggies getting out of them and that concerns me abit. I have read many positive comments about the c&c cages but are their other negatives to buying them. Also do people have them on the ground or raised.

A think a good way to strengthen C&C cages which also helps prevent the phgies breaking out is to connect the grids with cable ties instead of the connectors they come with.
If you're worried about the piggies climbing over the grids, you can add a roof.

I have my cage raised. It was initially on the floor but I found the pigs were less scared when it was raised and iys also easier for us to interact with them when they're higher, and also easier to clean.

I have my C&C raised (on a stand made of grids) because we have underfloor heating and it can't be directly on the floor. Plus this makes cleaning, etc much easier.
I think escaping wouldn't be a huge issue, but you do need to think about where you place things in the cage.
If you put a house or tunnel along the edge of the cage then of course an adventurous piggie could climb onto it and jump out.
We put things along the edge of the cage, but then add another grid so the wall is double height there and no one can be tempted to go walkabout.

So you can make the sides taller?

Ours is on the floor and we use cable ties as well as connectors on all grids. I am a huge c&c convert if you have the space for them you wont regret it. Our houses are on sides and we have never had an escape piggy yet.... but we don't have climbers.....

i have a C&C on a raised table ( to help reach them and clean them out ) don't think mine would ever try to climb out ! but they are great cages..... just buy 1 million cable ties :lol!:
