Hi all.

I made a couple of liners when I first got the pigs but I'd like to think about making more at some point.

I've noticed for sale fleece liners which just cover the base of the C&C cage, they don't have side bits which cover the corex.

Does anyone have exposed side panels in their cage? Is this ok, no nibbling? I would find it exponentially easier to make just base liners without the sides, that was tricky and even more irritating now they've both shrunk a bit (I preshrunk the fleece but it doesn't seem like I did it enough)

Thanks for any tips!

My liners only cover the floors. It generally depends on the pigs whether the edges get nibbled or not! My current 4 don't tend to touch it but my previous 3 most definitely did. I think you can cap the edges with a plastic cover - the sort of thing that goes along the edge of a fridge rack. But I don't know where you buy them or what they're called. Anyone?

My liners cover the floor only. Sides are exposed. They dont chew it. But it depends on the pigs because some arw more prone to chewing the correx. Some people recommend slide binders over the top of the sides to prevent chewing.

I also have liners that only cover the floor.
I find that certain piggies are tempted to nibble on exposed corners (we have lots of corners - their cage is L shaped) and I tried to get file binders to cover them.
The problem I had with file binders is that they don't really work on tricky small areas.
So I covered the main chew spots in heavy duty duct tape - not pretty but it works!

Thanks everyone, I will definitely try out just lining the base next time, I think that will be so much easier to make and quicker too!
