Hi everyone
I got my piggies a litter tray that I put their hay in and I am noticing that the quality doesn’t look very good compared with some of the photos from other posts. I currently use Morrison’s hay. I was wondering whether anyone knows a good place to buy where the hay would be fresher ?
Including photos of my girls x

Hi. I tend to buy timothy hay or meadow hay from the range, it is a good price and my girls seem to love it, it always smells nice too!

I get from timothyhay.co.uk as it’s the best I’ve found! Lovely and green, loads of seed heads (ultimate fav!) and it comes in big bales so quite economical too. I’m about to buy two 9kg bags for my five hungry mouths :))

B&M's meadow hay and timothy hay are both very good for the price and are easy to get (similar hay is sold in The Range).

My herds' favourite eating hay is Timothy Hay from www.timothyhay.co.uk ; quite cheap for really good timothy and little is wasted. Their favourite bedding hay is Ings Hay from www.hay-and-straw.co.uk ; this is the cheapest to get delivered but I go directly to the farm and buy it for £6 per bale (around 20kg), cheaper still!

If you have a horse/pet supply shop near you (examples near me are WCF and Millbry Hill), they may sell Lunnun Dust-Free Hay, which is the slightly poorer quality hay from the well-reviewed www.dustfreehay.co.uk. It's still great hay, but my lot prefer the above!

I look around for whatever is looking the best. I every day go to hay is Norfolk Pastures from Kennelgate, however I buy from a farm too.
Looks of good advice above though too.
I work on the basis, if it's green, smells sweet and good quality soft, they the fur babies will love it.

Has anyone got a picture of how big the 9kg bag is by any chance?
My mum is worried about space.

Here's a pic of the bag I got from them, and a comparison in the quality of the hay from the stuff from P@H. It's not quite as green at the moment, and they are on to the second cut which is a wee bit softer.
