Hi I'm new to this site, we've had our 3 boys for a few days now, they are slowly warming to us. Just wondering does anyone else has 3 boys together and how do they get on? I've read that any more than 2 and they will fight each other however the lady at Pets at Home assured us that as a trio there's a lot less chance of this happening. They have got plenty of space in a c&c cage and 4 different hiding places.

Also how often should I give them vegetables, so far I've given enough for a handful for each of them, twice a day, but I'm worried I'm not given them enough or maybe too much. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks :-)

A Trio can work, you'll have to wait and see. Sadly pets at home seem adamant that Boars can live in Trio's but it's certainly not as common as a pair of boars living happily together.

Space is your best friend, make sure everyone has a time out area if they need to get away from the other two, scatter feed as well so no one can stop the others from eating.

:D One handful of veg twice a day sounds fine. My girls get a bowlful of mixed sliced veg once a day and do fine on it.

A hand full is all l give , along with unlimered hey particulay Thimathy.

l find that to much veg is not benificial in the long term!

whilst they may prefer it , there teeth and digestion may suffer in the long
term .
Sometimes when there poos are a little soft , like they were today, l only gave them
a 1 qurter inch peice of carrot , a small peice of Romain, and a tiny cherry tomato .

Hi and welcome!

Sadly it isn't all that common for a boar trio to be succsessful, but it can happen- so I wish you all the luck with that! Also, are they defently all male? As I have heard horror stories here!

I give mine a little bowl each twiceca day of veg and I've had no problems :-)

Welcome to the forums :D Sounds like you're giving a good amount of veg for your piggies. You could also try kale (not too much as is high in calcium), broccoli and bell peppers - peppers have lots of vit c. in them :)
How old are your little boars? If they're only young still, keep an eye out for fallings-out between them as they mature! It seems like you've given them loads of space and hideys though, which will help keep them amiable with each other :p Pairs usually work best, but with the right space and mix of personalities things could just as well work out fine for your new trio ^-^
Have a good browse around the forum, there's loads of advice for settling your new fur-kids in!
