Junior Guinea Pig
This is very embarrassing but here goes.
The gang have been together two weeks this friday. At first it was all very stand offish, no blood but plenty of rumbling and strutting etc. Honey hid loads and Sophie and Henry did most of the noisy stuff. I witnessed most of this in the evenings after work and in the run. I regualrly checked for marks (and even had my sister have a look in on them)
As per instructions I took everything out of the cage and just hung up fleece to make big hidey places so no one could be trapped.
Having been ill and thus at home. I have been in my room with them for most of the day. Poor Honey gets ALOT of attention from Henry who is frankly a machine :red:red and it got to the point were this morning I took Honey out for a break, not sure that was the right thing to do. but well she looked shattered to me.
Sophie is the dominant sow in the pairing and doesn't tolerate Henry trying to mount her very often. This afternoon after a second lot of hay to distract them (they live on hay as their main bedding) there was a lot chasing and popcorning from all of them and poor Honey got the attention again..........Sophie goes under the fleece
I just want to check is this normal?
I had visions of them cuddling up together and everyone being chilled - obviously having some fun:red but not poor Hons getting pinned down all the time............
any advice?:red
