Essentially I don't think my trio have enough room, they are in a dandelion den hutch indoors, they get floor time but I am at work a lot and so they spend loads of time in the hutch. I clean them out every three days and they seem happy enough, it is just they never get really excited about anything.......well except veggie time.

I am moving the rabbits in to my shed in the coming weeks. They will have a run attached and I will use the run around system to connect the two. I could section off part of the shed for the guinea pigs for them to have a hutch (open) and a run area much bigger than indoors to pootle about in. The shed will be lined with lino and the walls covered in correx. They could go out there during the day. I would bring them in at night as don't want to be without them really just very aware they need more space. Plus one of my girls is 6 and I don't think she would cope with the night life.

Originally I was going to put the rabbits and the guinea pigs out in their respective hutches with runs attached via run around tubes - bought all the stuff and then realised the hutch for the rabbits was too small so moved on to the shed idea. I think there is enough room to divide it up.

Do you think it would be stressful for them? to be moved? They are very good at climbing into the carrier for floor time and garden time. That is how I take them out for everything.

I am never happy with their housing!

I'm forever wanting to change my cage too :))

I'd advise to take note of the temperature in both places since piggies don't do well with quick temp changes, so if you do go on with this plan, the temps would have to be around the same. There's also the sudden noise if there is much, but I'm pretty sure they'd get use to that. If the rabbits and piggies are sharing the shed, dividing parts would mean taking extra care while doing it and'll probably need a stronger sort of border. I've seen some stories of rabbits being very cruel to piggies once together (housed or not). I'm not sure what else to say heh.

Yeah I thought I would use my old puppy panels as the squares are small and it could be screwed into the wall to stop it falling over, then use breeze blocks to keep it upright and in place. It is 100cm tall I think. The temperature might be a problem. I do keep my room quite cool - am a windows open kinda girl. Hmmm.

I shall take the temperature and compare. Thanks :)
