Hi everyone,

I am thinking about adopting another guinea, and Ginger and Snap's cage is wa too small for another lady to move in. I am thinking about building a c and c cage, but I am in Vancouver British Columbia. Does anyboby know a cheap place to buy cubes and clorplast?

I don't know if its the cheapest, I'm from Manitoba and couldn't find them any where other than Canadian Tire. But I'm also in a small city so perhaps you would have better luck. And if you just call any sign shop they should have Coroplast.

Try Canadian Tire or Rona for the cubes. Also, Rona has 6'X4' sheets of coroplast. For three pigs you would want a minimum of 2X5 cubes. ONe sheet of coro will accomplish that. The cubes are $31.49 http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/brow.../PRD~0680700P/4-cube+Wire+Shelf.jsp?locale=en
There are 16 in a pkg, which gives you two extra (to make hay rack possibly?) once it's completed for a standard 2X5 single level cage.
The coroplast is generally $23 at Rona, so total cost of materials (plus $2 for pkg of zip ties to secure from dollar store) is less than $60
Hope this helps! :)

Sorry about the double post. The forum is being wonky as of late.

Hi, I'm in the UK - but I've found c&c grids on amazon - so you may have luck there. Or ebay.

Also in the UK - coroplast isn't so easy to get hold of - but the alternative (which is slightly better) is corotherm - polycarbonate sheet - here's the link for you to have look at what I mean, this is a UK site so you wouldn't be able to get it from there, but you can try your big hardware stores to see if they have it in. It's 10mm thick and clear -

You may need to copy and paste the link into your browser.

I use c&c grids but actually I don't use either coroplast or corotherm. I tried lino but it didn't work for me either. What I have is a plain plastic ground sheet. It's the type you use to cover barbeque's and things up in the rain. But any ground sheet - for example, for camping would do. I then cover it in fleece. In the area's where they pee I use towels. I just prefer the ground sheet idea, it's easier for me, but mine are on the floor at the moment. I am thinking of raising them and if I do that I will need corotherm to create a base.

Hope this helps! :))
xx
