We've been using C&C to create a run attached to our bought cage but we are looking to change out to a full C&C cage. My questions is with regard to the correx, as the clips on the C&C actually stick in a bit from the mesh, do you correx up to the mesh so it sits on the clips or up to the clips? Hope this makes sense.

When I used the clips I sat my corex on them but I think some people cut the corex to sit inside. I've given up with the clips and just cable tie my grids together now. The grids I use are thicker wire than the normal ones and don't fit the clips very wel., Also my two cages that are on the floor have an opening section held together with bull dog clips so the grids need to touch rather than have the gap.

In our pigs C&C cage, the correx sits inside the mesh squares in a kind of tray shape I think this is normally the way it's done. The clips don't get in the way of the correx. The correx just kind of sits next to them. Then there are tie wraps on the top of the mesh squares to hold it together at the top.

My c and c is from C&C Guinea Pig Cages - Home - c and c guinea pig cages

Thanks for replies, just ordered a second set of the grids we have, and going to look at proplex (correx) in our local wickes later. And need to pick up some bigger fleeces.

Any more answers to this question. Do you cut the correx to sit inside the connectors or flush with the grids (which would be sitting on the inner semi-circle of the connectors).

Is it stable if it's sitting on the connectors? That seems to be the option chosen by the people that have answered this so far

Thanks everyone!

When I got my c&c it was a ready to build kit - i just folded the correx where marked etc. It sat, for the most part, inside the connectors, so if you lift up the grids, the correx stayed on the floor. Although given the not totally square nature, the odd corner got caught in the connectors.
I hope that helps a little!
