Hi, am just after some advice about bedding. I am fed up of wood shavings and so have bought some mattress pad things. They are actually incontinence pads and absorb water. I intended to use them under fleece but having got them they are really quite padded and soft. I am wondering if I should use them with fleece for their bedroom end and just on their own in their eating area. Is their any reason why I should use fleece all through or will they be ok with just the pad?

I wonder if they would chew the pad's and ingest whatever they are made of, and snort the dust from them, i would use them under the fleece where they tend to pee most and just towels in other area's with fleece on top? xx

I use cotton mattress toppers under my fleece. These can be washed and work out a better price in the long run. I also use a tray under the hay racks and clean this every day, it only takes a couple of minutes. This keeps most of the wee away from the fleece and keeps the cage fresh for longer.
